Fukushima Autumn Festival Floats

Fukushima Autumn Festival Floats

23 neighboring associations, which belong to Inari Shrine, have their own floats. There used to be some big "Odori Yatai" (dancing floats). Because of decreasing population, it is becoming difficult to keep mikoshi among them. Therefore, some of them had to give up their floats. Then some festival lovers, feeling very sad about this situation, asked them to gather floats in the streets of Fukushima Station. Now, 18 floats gather round and are pulled through the streets to Inari Shrine. Now "Rendashi" floats bring us the real feeling of autumn in Fukushima.
